WOODS STREET INFINITY POOL

This home has one of the best view on the Ottawa River. Facing west, they enjoy the beautiful sunsets, and everchanging views that the seasons bring. Its not surprising that the idea of doing an infinity pool edge was enticing to our clients, giving the illusion that the 2 bodies of water are merging. The simplicity of the horizon line from the terrace makes for an unobstructed view. Although this project is far from qualifying it as ‘simple’.

The heated concrete pool was constructed from ICF foundation blocks enhancing it’s performance, thus reducing the heat loss. Automation was key, therefore a hidden floating pool cover sits below the stone bridge and can be rolled out at the touch of a button, making it perfectly hidden when pool is not in use. Waterfalls and fire bowl features were added to the pool design to add an extra wow factor.

A great terrace and pool area is never complete without an outdoor kitchen. This structure’s design started from an existing matching roofline to the house. It consists of all maintenance free materials such as granite countertop, Corian panels, natural stone columns. The cooking area has 42” grill head, hot plate, 2 outdoor bar fridges, and topping off the entertainment experience, with a bar top to enjoy a drink with the games or other events on the outdoor tv screen.

On the opposite side of the dream pool, we have a sitting area with firepit that showcases a beautiful play of fire, water fountain and LED lights to finish off the day.
